Merchant verified by TMF
This status means TMF Reviews has verified the merchant according to its business verification process. It concerns the merchant’s identity or information, not automatically every review on the profile.
TMF Reviews does not aim to automatically take the merchant’s side or the customer’s side. Our role is to provide a clear and understandable framework for publishing and managing customer feedback as fairly as possible.
Every review platform works differently. Some are older, more comprehensive, more technology focused, or simply built around a different approach.
TMF Reviews prefers to explain clearly what it does, what it verifies and what it does not verify. Our goal is to provide an honest service for both merchants and customers.
We do not want to create an artificial conflict between businesses and consumers. Trust works better when everyone can understand the rules and express their point of view.
This status means TMF Reviews has verified the merchant according to its business verification process. It concerns the merchant’s identity or information, not automatically every review on the profile.
This label applies to a specific review. It means TMF Reviews has reviewed that feedback according to its verification process.
Review provenance may be stored internally, for example when reviews are imported. A source, an import or a verified purchase does not automatically become a Verified by TMF badge.
A delay, a misunderstanding or different expectations can lead to criticism even when the overall commercial relationship was positive. One negative review among many positive experiences does not define a business.
A profile made only of perfect comments can sometimes feel unnatural. A reasoned criticism followed by a professional response can help future customers form their own opinion.
Visitors do not only read the criticism. They also notice how a business responds, explains the situation and tries to find a solution.
Reputation is built from the overall trend and the quality of customer interactions. One negative review among many positive ones does not sum up a company.
A response written in anger can cause more damage than the original review. Take time to reply with facts and respect.
Do not reply while angry. Read the message again and focus on the facts.
Thank the customer for the feedback, acknowledge what can reasonably be acknowledged, and explain your position without personal attacks.
When a solution is possible, offer a clear way to continue the conversation or resolve the issue.
Continue requesting feedback from customers regularly. Over time, one isolated experience naturally finds its proper place within the wider picture.
“Your goal should not be to have no negative reviews. Your goal should be to earn your customers’ trust.”
TMF Reviews is not intended to automatically defend a business simply because that business is a customer of the platform.
We also do not assume that a consumer is automatically right in every situation.
Our goal is to keep the rules understandable and make moderation or verification decisions according to those rules, not according to one side’s interests.
No. A negative opinion is not, by itself, a reason to remove a review. Review management must follow the platform rules.
It means TMF Reviews has reviewed that specific feedback according to its verification process.
No. Merchant verification and review verification are separate concepts.
Yes. An isolated criticism can make a profile feel more natural and gives a business the opportunity to show publicly how it responds to a problem.
We do not aim to put down or rank other platforms. They may have different features, methods or histories. We prefer to explain our own approach clearly.
Collecting reviews matters. Handling them clearly, responding respectfully and helping customers understand what they are reading matters just as much.
